Tenth Judicial District County Courts of Nebraska
MADD Victim Impact Panel

The mission of Mothers Against Drunk Driving is to stop drunk driving, support the victims of this violent crime and prevent underage drinking.

A MADD Victim Impact Panel is a group of two or three victims who speak about an impaired driving crash in which they were injured, or in which a loved one was killed or injured and how the crash has impacted their lives. They do not judge or blame those who listen. The audience is made up of probationers who have been convicted of MIP or DUI, or others involved with a diversion program or Court ordered attendance.

The purpose of a MADD VIP is to individualize and humanize the consequences of impaired driving, to change attitudes and behaviors, and to deter impaired driving recidivism. Panels also give victims a healing opportunity to share their stories in a meaningful way.

VIPs are held in Adams, Dodge, Madison, Platte, Scotts Bluff, Buffalo, Lancaster and Seward Counties along in the Omaha Metro area. The Adams County VIP is held on the Central Community College campus at Hastings, Nebraska.

Call the MADD Nebraska State Office, 800 S. 13th St., Lincoln, NE 68508 for the dates, time and locations of VIPs:
